Temple Santa Fe Community Credit Union was chartered in 1954 to serve the savings and borrowing needs of the employees of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and the Santa Fe Hospital located in Temple, Texas. Since that time, the credit union has grown and reached out to serve the needs of more and more people. Now persons living or working in Bell County, Texas, that are not directly eligible for an occupational or associational credit union in Bell County are not only eligible, but are welcome to join our fine organization.

Temple Santa Fe Community Credit Union, like all credit unions, is a cooperative owned only by its members, not profit oriented stockholders. Temple Santa Fe Community Credit Union is a member of the Texas Credit Union League and Credit Union National Association. The credit union is regulated by the Credit Union Department, State of Texas. All funds on deposit are insured up to $250,000.00 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, an agency of the federal government.

Membership Eligibility

Temple Santa Fe Community Credit Union is a state chartered community credit union, serving most of Bell County, Texas. Persons living or working in Bell County and not primarily eligible for membership in an associational or occupational credit union in Bell County are now eligible to join. Our Mission Statement

The purpose of the Temple Santa Fe Community Credit Union is to provide for its members a solid financial institution in which to invest and borrow, while promoting thrift and economic stability. It is the goal of the credit union to expand and continually update its services to meet the needs of its members, through member education and development, while maintaining a personal rapport with each member and continually promoting the philosophy of “Members Helping Members”.
